At Câlin Bohème, safety is an integral part of our creative process. Each product is designed and assembled with care, using a responsible, artisanal approach that is attentive to materials, intended use, and conditions of use.

The purpose of this page is to present our approach, the practices implemented, and the essential guidelines to follow for the appropriate use of our creations.

Compliance process

Câlin Bohème creations are designed and hand-assembled in Switzerland. The materials used come from specialist suppliers and meet the applicable regulatory requirements for components, particularly regarding composition and substance migration, according to information provided by the manufacturers.

Some items in the range, including teething rings, have been laboratory tested in accordance with the requirements applicable to their category.

During the design and assembly of the products concerned, an internal assessment of uses, dimensions and assemblies is carried out in order to guide manufacturing choices and limit the risks associated with non-compliant use.

Materials used

The components are carefully selected from specialist suppliers.

• Silicone: Food grade silicone, used according to supplier specifications.
• Drink : Beads and rings made of natural wood (e.g. beech), a living material that may exhibit slight variations.
• Textiles: Some models feature cotton elements.
• Metal : Components made of stainless steel, lead and nickel free, depending on the model.
• Cords: Cords selected for their strength and suitable for handcrafted assembly.

Assembly and testing

Each product is individually hand-assembled and undergoes visual and functional testing before being offered for sale. Due to the handcrafted nature of the manufacturing process, slight variations may occur from one model to another.

Important usage instructions

• Monitoring : Products intended for children should always be used under adult supervision.
• Verification : Before each use, check the condition of the product (cord, clip, beads, knots, decorative elements).
• Discontinuation of use: Remove the product immediately if there are any signs of wear, deterioration, cracking, deformation or damaged parts.
• Intended use: respect the category and use indicated on the product sheet (pacifier clip, decorative accessory, children's jewelry or adult jewelry).
• Non-toy: The products sold on the Câlin Bohème website are not toys, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
• Modification: Any modification, repair, extension or misuse will be the responsibility of the user.

Pacifier clip length and customization

The length of the pacifier clips is determined during assembly. As a guide, it is approximately 22 cm (excluding clip). Since each creation is handmade, slight variations may exist.

In the case of customization, the length of the design is maintained. Some decorative beads may be replaced with letters to preserve the balance and proportions of the design.

Product care

Routine cleaning: Before and after use, clean the product with warm water and mild soap, then allow it to air dry.

Products made exclusively of silicone

• Clean with warm water and mild soap.
• Depending on the model, it may be dishwasher safe (top compartment) or sterilizer safe. Refer to the product information sheet.

Products containing wood, textiles or metallic elements

• Do not immerse in water and do not leave to soak.
• Do not place in the dishwasher or sterilizer.
• Clean the surface with a slightly damp cloth, then dry thoroughly.
• Since wood is a natural material, it can deteriorate in case of prolonged humidity or improper handling.

Trick : To revive the appearance of the wood and remove dust from the silicone beads, it is possible to apply a very small amount of food-grade vegetable oil occasionally, then wipe off the excess.
